Questions, answered straight.

Everything people actually ask, without marketing in the way. If it isn’t answered here, the deep dives are in Mechanics and Lightkeeper.

How do I connect to Arc Testnet?

Press Jump Arc L1 (top right) and pick your wallet. BeaconHarbor adds and switches the network for you: chain id 5042002, RPC included, gas paid in USDC. Nothing to type by hand.

Where do I get gas? My wallet says I can't pay fees.

Gas on Arc is native USDC. Get free testnet gas at faucet.circle.com (choose Arc Testnet, paste your address). This is separate from the test USDC you spend on curves.

Gas vs test USDC, why are there two?

Two different things. Native USDCpays transaction fees (from Circle’s faucet). Test USDC is the token you spend on bonding curves. Mint it free with the “Mint test USDC” button on any token page. During testnet, neither has real value.

How do I launch a token?

Open /launch, fill the form (name, ticker, artwork, links, your one BeaconHarbor launch post), accept the notice, press Create a beacon, and sign once. Your token opens on the curve in that transaction, and if you chose a dev buy it is executed inside the same transaction, on the open curve.

What is graduation?

When a curve has raised 6,000 USDC, it closes and the contract seeds a DEX pool with the raised USDC plus the reserved 20% of supply, then burns the LP. Trading continues there forever, nobody can pull the liquidity, and no fee leaves the pool after that point. Details with diagrams: Mechanics.

Can the dev dump on me?

A dev can hold at most 4% from the launch, bought on the same open curve at the same price as you, inside the launch transaction, and it is labelled on the token. The contract refuses a bigger dev buy. There is no presale and no team allocation to dump. Selling walks the same curve down like any other sell.

What does the fee pay for?

Every curve trade carries 1%: 0.5% to the protocol treasury, 0.5% to the token’s creator, both paid out by the pool contract to fixed addresses. After graduation the fee stops leaving the pool and stays as liquidity for every holder.

My transaction failed with a rate-limit error.

Arc’s public testnet RPC caps request bursts. Wait a few seconds and try once; the site already retries reads across several RPC providers. If your wallet keeps failing, switch its RPC to https://arc-testnet.drpc.org.

Why can't I post in BeaconHarbor?

Posting needs a rank read live from your wallet: Shrimp ≥ $100 portfolio (1 post/day), Fish ≥ $1,000 (10/day), Whale ≥ $10,000 (100/day, 10-minute gap). Liking, commenting and reposting need at least $5 of any beacon. Devs get one post, published with their launch.

What are the stars next to tokens?

That’s Token Premium: projects pay to be listed ($1 = ★1, minimum $100) and the stars burn down publicly, one every two minutes, top 10 only. The most-reposted and most-volume lists next to it can’t be bought at all.

Is any of this worth real money?

No. Arc is in testnet: every token, balance and star here is practice. Real value arrives only with Arc mainnet. Anyone selling you “early allocation” today is lying.

What do light points get me?

Honest answer: they are an on-chain record of what you actually did before mainnet, and what they become is decided at mainnet. We don’t promise airdrops. The full story: Lightkeeper.

Is my data private?

BeaconHarbor is wallet-based: no email, no password, no KYC to use the core product. Your address and on-chain actions are public by nature; profile details you add are ones you chose to publish. See Terms of Policy.
